(삼광NEWS)-2월 13일(수) 설 연휴가 끝나자 마자 삼광의 가족 중에서 만학의 꿈을 이룬 훈훈한 미담 사례가 있어, 삼광뉴스를 통하여 전해 드립니다. 다름아닌 삼광비나 소속의 박준형 차장 모친이신 백옥희 여사께서 올해 65세의 늦은 나이에도 불구하고, 수성대학교 사회복지학 전문학사 학위 취득을 하셨다는 소식을 전해 왔습니다. 또한, 여기에 만족하지 않으시고, 경산 한의대학교 편입 시험에도 합격을 하셔서 학사학위 취득을 위한 계속되는 도전이 새로움을 향해 끝없이 도전하고 있는 삼광의 정신과 일맥상통한 부분이라 이렇게 축하와 함께, 소식을 공유 드리게 되었습니다.


그동안 백옥희 여사는 어린 시절 여러가지 사정으로 인하여, 배움의 때를 놓쳐 평생 한으로 가지고 있었던 학업에 대한 꿈을 포기하지 않으시고, 자식들에게 ‘엄마도 아직 할 수 있다’는 떳떳한 모습을 보여주기 위해 수성대학교에 당당히 입학하여 학업의 열정을 쏟아 내었습니다. 또한, 사회복지 분야에 일원이 되어 사회에 공헌하고 싶고, 아울러 노인 복지 쪽으로 좀 더 구체적으로 공부하여 국가의 노인복지정책에 기여를 하고자 하는 목표가 만학도의 꿈을 실현하게 되었습니다.


현재 베트남에서 근무중인 박준형 차장은 휴가기간을 맞추어 가족들과 함께 모친의 학위 수여를 축하하기 위해 참석 하였으며, 이 소식을 전해들은 대표이사는 식지 않은 열정으로 만학의 꿈을 이루신 부분에 대하여 축하 드리고자 백옥희 여사의 가정에 앞으로 더 큰 꿈을 이루시라는 염원을 담아 꽃이 만발한 축하 화환을 전달 하였습니다. 백옥희 여사는 생각하지 못한 선물과 아들이 몸담은 회사의 사장님께서 직접 축하를 해 주신 부분에 감격스러워 하시며, 매우 감사하다는 뜻을 전해 왔으며, 앞으로 더욱 학업에 정진하여 이루고자 하는 목표를 반드시 실현해 가겠다며 강한 포부를 밝혔습니다.
