(삼광백과사전)-3월 8일(금) 환경 안전 이슈가 뜨거워지고 있는 가운데 IT뉴스 관련 소식에서 일본 드론 제조업체에서 화재 현장에서도 비행하며 인명 구조 지원이 가능한 무인항공기를 개발했다는 정보를 입수 하였습니다. 금번 소식은 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있는 IT기술로 보다 나은 환경 안전 대책 방안을 마련하게 된 이야기 입니다.

 

지난 3월 6일(수) NHK 등 현지언론에 따르면, 일본 드론 제조업체 ‘엔루트’와 신 에너지 산업기술종합개발기구(NEDO)가 공동으로 내화성 드론(모델명 QC730FP)를 개발 하였습니다. 이는 300℃의 온도까지 견딜 수 있으며, 화재 현장에서도 1분간 연속 비행하는 모습을 선보였습니다. 무게 6.5kg 의 이 드론은 기체를 티타늄과 마그네슘합금, 프로펠러 부분을 마그네슘 합금으로 제작하여 경량화를 구현하였으며, 내화성을 높인 특수 도료 지르코니아를 도장함으로써 300℃의 고온 환경에서도 1분간 연속 운용 할 수 있도록 설계 하였습니다. 또한, 내화성을 300℃로 정한 이유는 소방관 방호복의 내화성 기준이 260℃인 점을 고려하여 이보다 뛰어난 성능을 구현한 것이며, 이에 따라 이 드론은 발화원에부터 상공 5~10m까지 근접 비행할 수 있어 탑재 된 고성능 카메라를 통해 드론을 운용하는 대원에게 선명하고 자세한 이미지를 전송합니다. 카메라 전면부 역시 단열성과 투과성을 확보할 수 있는 석영 소재의 유리를 채택, 열원의 영향을 줄이는 데 성공 하였고, 이런 기술을 채택함으로써, 화염 속을 연속해서 통과하는 시험에서도 기체에 손상이 발생하지 않는 것을 확인 하였습니다.

내화성 드론의 활용도는 사다리 차가 들어가기 어려운 좁은 도로나 주택 밀집 지역 외에도 공장이나 빌딩 안에 들어가 인명을 구조하는 경로를 파악하는 등의 임무에 쓰일 수 있으며, 야간 등의 상황에는 적외선 카메라를 더해 열원을 더욱 자세히 파악 할 수 있습니다. 이에 대해 NEDO는 “온도가 300℃에 이르는 고온 환경에서 견딜 수 있는 드론의 실용화는 이번이 세계에서 처음”이라는 설명과 함께 내화성 드론의 기술력에 대한 긍정적인 반응을 보였습니다. 이 날 도쿄 가스미가세키에 있는 NEDO 분실에서 기자회견을 가진 다키카와 마스야스엔루트 사장은 “하늘을 나는 소방관의 동료를 지향하고 싶다“는 포부를 밝혔습니다.
