금일 2023년 3월 22일(수)은 세계 물의 날입니다.

세계 물의 날은 인구와 경제활동의 증가로 인해 수질이 오염되고 전 세계적으로 먹을 수 있는 물이 부족해져 점차 심각해지는 물 부족과 수질 오염을 방지하고 물의 소중함을 되새기기 위해 유엔(UN)에서 만든 날입니다.  


최근 ESG(환경, 사회, 지배구조)는 기업의 성장 및 생존에 직결되는 핵심 가치들로 기업 경영의 필수 키워드로 부상하고 있으며, 특히 한국 또한 물 부족 국가로 다양한 기업과 기관에서는 세계 물의 날을 맞이하여 여러 이벤트를 진행하고 있습니다.


이에 ㈜삼광에서도 회사 내 혹은 일상생활에서 물을 절약할 수 있는 아이디어를 받아보았습니다.






우리나라의 연강수량은 세계 평균 수치보다 높지만, 국토가 좁고 인구 밀도가 높다는 점에서 물 부족 국가로 분류되며, 우리나라는 현재 ‘물 부족 국가’를 넘어 ‘물 기근 국가’가 될 것으로 예상됩니다.

 

아이디어로 나온 방법들은 모두 실천하기 어렵지 않고 대부분이 아는 방법들이지만, 여전히 사람들은 우리나라의 물 부족 심각성을 모른 채 물을 아끼지 않고 있습니다.

또 금일이 세계 물의 날인지 모르는 사람들이 많이 있을 것입니다.
