Samkwang, Monthly Meeting in June 2024 Author사내기자 Date2024.06.05 Hit156

On Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the monthly meeting for June 2024 was held.

The meeting took place in the main auditorium of the headquarters with the attendance of managers, connected via video conferencing with representatives from Vietnam, India, China, and the Technology Research Institute.

The agenda proceeded as follows: national anthem and patriotic song performance, review of management policies and code of conduct, mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, recognition of outstanding employees, monthly address by the CEO, and slogan chanting ("Let's enhance our technical capabilities and competencies for the future").

During the mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, Mentor Dongguk Park from the Technology Research Institute was presented with a certificate of appointment, while Mentee Daenam Kim received a business card case and a smile badge.

Additionally, each mentor personally attached a smile badge to their mentee as a gesture of encouragement for their successful adaptation and growth within the company.

Two employees were selected as outstanding performers in the domestic category.

Seungji Kang from the Development Team of the Korean Business Division was recognized for his contributions to productivity improvement and cost reduction through CNC process enhancement, receiving a prize of 300,000 won.

Bomi Kwon from the Human Resources Support Team in the Global Management Support Division was acknowledged for her efforts in identifying and reducing export logistics costs through government-supported projects, also receiving a prize of 300,000 won.

Following the awards ceremony, each outstanding employee presented their achievements.

During the monthly address, CEO Jinwoo Kim remarked: "Having returned from a 20-day business trip to the United States, I have a few observations to share.

Listening to the stories of employees at American companies, it was evident that they consistently strive for growth and are well aware of the need for both verbal and practical efforts.

They exerted firm determination to ensure product quality, even resorting to unconventional methods.

These individuals are what we might call geniuses.

Such qualities cannot be simply taught; while we do have employees with these traits, their numbers are few.

Let us, therefore, redouble our efforts based on Samkwang's code of conduct, 'Strong perseverance for achieving goals.'

I encourage each of you to study and enhance your capabilities.

Areas where you fall short must be addressed; growth does not happen automatically with time. If there are companies with lessons to learn from, I urge you to visit them for benchmarking.

The purpose of monthly improvement activities is to encourage each of you to try something, no matter how small.

Let us strive for capacity improvement to foster both personal growth and company development.

Our company must possess unique technological capabilities.

I've heard stories about Samkwang being a 'Manufacturing Officers' School' in the past.

To acquire such skills, the organization must operate systematically with effective management.

From the production site to solid organizational structures, there must be content for objective evaluations.

Of course, not everyone can be number one in everything, but we must each, in our respective fields, ponder with determination on how to lower manufacturing costs and produce better products.

We cannot afford to remain stagnant in a rapidly changing society.

A company is not a school; without skills, one will simply fade away.

I encourage you to challenge yourselves with firm goals to grow into remarkable and distinctive individuals within Samkwang.

Our internal structure must be robust.

Strengthening our internals will alter external perceptions.

There's no time to waste. I urge you to devote yourselves to work with the mindset of becoming recognized talents within the company, deserving of increased compensation.

We will be going on a one-night, two-day workshop to Cheongsong from July 5th to 6th. With everyone immersed in work, it's time for us to focus on fostering unity.

I commit to organizing such gatherings 1-2 times annually from now on.

I hope you will enjoy hiking and recreational activities during this workshop."
