On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the SCM General Manager of Wacom, along with two employees, visited the Vietnam division.

The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the partnership and discuss future business strategies.

From the Vietnam division, Vice president Jongdeuk Song, the development team, and the manufacturing support/purchasing sales team, totaling seven employees, attended.

The visit schedule consisted of a line tour followed by a meeting.

◇ Line Tour

The line tour proceeded through the assembly, injection molding, painting, and MCT processes. The Wacom employees had the opportunity to closely observe each stage of the manufacturing process, gaining a deeper understanding of the Vietnam division's production methods. This allowed both parties to lay the groundwork for better collaboration.

◇ Meeting

During the meeting, strategies to respond to the market expansion of Chinese competitors were discussed. In particular, there was an in-depth conversation about the sustainability of the manufacturing industry and the importance of recycled materials.

Wacom stated, “Sustainability is a key trend in the current manufacturing industry. As the importance of recycled materials grows, we aim to move towards simultaneously pursuing environmental protection and economic benefits. We look forward to achieving mutual growth through our cooperation with the Vietnam division.”

This visit provided an opportunity for Wacom and the Vietnam division to further solidify their partnership and collaborate on strategies for a sustainable future.
