On July 8, 2024, at 11:30 AM, the July monthly meeting was held.

This month's meeting took place with managers from headquarters participating via video link with Vietnam, India, and the Technology Research Institute.


The agenda included national customs and patriotic songs, a review of management policies and code of conduct, award ceremonies for appointments, mentor-mentee commitment ceremonies, innovation proposal awards and outstanding employee awards, remarks from the CEO, and a call for change (embracing new thoughts and methods).


Appointment certificates were presented to department heads and section chiefs.

Pyeongrae Gang, Executive Vice President of Global Management Support, and Hoyeol Song , Executive Vice President of Global Finance, were awarded as department heads. A total of 56 section chiefs were selected, and Jongguk Kim, Professional Quality Team of the Korea Business Unit, received the award on behalf of the employees.


Four people were honored at the mentor-mentee commitment ceremony, with two from the Korea Business Unit and two from the Technology Research Institute.

Mentors received certificates of appointment, while mentees received business card cases and smile badges, with each mentor personally attaching a smile badge to encourage mentees to adapt well to the company and grow as talents.


Next came the innovation proposal awards and outstanding employee award ceremony.

An accolade was awarded to Gyuhyeong Ahn, Professional Support Team of Manufacturing Support/Purchasing Sales at the Korea Business Unit, in recognition of being selected as an excellent cooperative partner of Samsung Electronics for the first half of 2024, and three employees from the Vietnam Business Unit were awarded the latest model phones.

Three outstanding employees were selected, including Jeonghui Kang, Professional Quality Team at the Korea Business Unit, who contributed to productivity improvement and cost reduction through inspection jig improvements, and received a prize of 300,000 won.

Seongmin Kim of Taeryeonggi contributed to improving the working environment and cost reduction through packaging process improvements, and also received a prize of 300,000 won.

Finally, Junhyeong Park, Professional Development Team 1 of the Vietnam Business Unit, contributed to productivity improvement and cost reduction through press jig improvements, and received a prize of 300,000 won. Following the award ceremony, each outstanding employee presented their improvement achievements.


In his monthly address, CEO Jinwoo Kim stated:

"Last Friday's workshop was enjoyable as everyone united and enjoyed themselves. Let's make it a tradition to hold it once a year from now on.


During executive meetings, we always talk about 'the era of change.' Looking at the deceased chairmen who led major companies and famous CEOs in the United States, what unified them was 'change.' If you don't catch the timing for change, you can't achieve it.

If you don't change, you will decline, and decline will eventually lead to death.


We are currently discussing with many companies.

If it goes well, we can once again make a new jump.

But to make a jump, you need skills.

Your skills are the company's skills.

We will support you in the company, so study your shortcomings and change yourself so that you will be recognized wherever you go.


Never say anything discouraging to someone who wants to change.

If you change, Samkwang will improve its physique and go on a good path.

If you don't change, the ship named Samkwang will go elsewhere.


Today, we appointed section chiefs to strengthen the organization.

Outstanding employees under section chiefs will become second and third section chiefs.

If they do well there, they will become team leaders, and if they do better, they will become executives.

From now on, you won't automatically move up just because you have accumulated years of service.

Only capable individuals will advance.


I will communicate more with the employees in the future.
