On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:30 AM, the October Monthly Meeting was held.


The event followed the order of the national anthem and pledge of allegiance, recitation of the management policies and code of conduct, certificate of appointment presentation, mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, award ceremony for outstanding employees, monthly address by the CEO, and the slogan chant "Let’s Prepare for Change."


During the mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, four members from the Wintech Division were paired. The mentors received certificates of appointment, while the mentees were presented with business card cases and smile badges.


There were two outstanding employees recognized. Heo Iksoo from the Global Management Support Division was awarded for his contributions to cost savings through proactive VE activities, such as changing and exempting the permits for air emission facilities. 

Seonghwan Kim from the Korean Business Division’s Processing Technology Team was awarded for his efforts in cost reduction through production automation. Both outstanding employees received a prize of 300,000 KRW each and gave presentations on their improvement achievements.


In his monthly address, CEO Jinwoo Kim stated:


“Hello everyone. We are now in the fourth quarter, entering October.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can make the company better for the next year.

Currently, the executives are meeting three times a week to discuss our future business directions.

Once the details are finalized, we can move forward with certainty about our direction.

However, setting the direction is not the only important thing. What’s more crucial is how we will achieve it.

This cannot be done by the executives' efforts alone.

Our employees must also join forces, giving their best to their current tasks and engaging in activities that go beyond their daily responsibilities.


The world is changing rapidly, especially in the fields of AI and robotics.

In the future, all processes in Samkwang will need to be automated.

Those of you who are here must embrace the idea that 'machines will handle production,' and shift your focus to research and improvements.

As I always say, automation cannot happen overnight.

We need to build the foundation and improve step by step, reducing the workforce while increasing productivity.

Let’s approach this with perseverance, looking ahead to the next 5 to 10 years.


By 2025, we must be ready to move forward swiftly with confidence.

I’ve been emphasizing since last year that 2024 is the most critical year.

How we handle this year will determine the company’s future.

Over the next three months, think about how we will finish this year, how we will move forward next year, and what you need to do to prepare.

During this time, let’s focus on maintaining our machines and conducting research on how to produce faster and without defects.

If we wait until next year to prepare, it will be too late.

Only those who are prepared will survive and succeed.

Let’s make sure we are ready so we can move forward with confidence in 2025.

Take care of your health during this transitional season, and let’s work hard.”
