On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the 18th memorial ceremony for the late Chairman Youngpo Kim was held at Samkwang's headquarters.

Approximately 25 employees attended the solemn ceremony, honoring the achievements and legacy of the late Chairman in a respectful atmosphere.

The ceremony began with a brief introduction to the late Chairman’s biography, followed by memorial rites conducted by executives and employees. In celebration of Samkwang’s 50th anniversary, 29 outstanding employees from Vietnam and India, who visited Korea, also participated in the memorial rites.

The late Chairman Youngpo Kim  established Samkwang Industrial Co., the precursor to Samkwang, in June 1974. He officially founded Samkwang Co., Ltd. in December 2000, embodying the spirit of diligence, and served as its CEO.

After the rites, CEO Kim Jin-woo shared his thoughts:

“Tomorrow marks the 50th anniversary of Samkwang, a truly meaningful milestone. It is thanks to the dedication of our late Chairman that Samkwang has reached its current stature. I am confident that Samkwang will spread its wings and soar to even greater heights. Let us persevere through challenges and keep moving forward.”

Samkwang continues to honor the diligent spirit of the late Chairman Kim Youngpo Kim , preparing for the future and committing to a new era of growth.
