[On April 24, 2025 (Thursday), Samkwang signed a business agreement (MOU) for mutual cooperation with the Institute of Advanced Information and Communication Convergence Industry Technology (IACT), followed by a special lecture on strategies for manufacturing companies in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

The MOU signing ceremony was held in the boardroom of Samkwang's headquarters and was attended by eight executives and employees, including CEO Jinwoo Kim, and two officials from IACT, including Director Hyunduk Kim. 

Through the MOU, Samkwang and IACT will collaborate on the development and commercialization of new technologies in high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence, robots, and drones; ▲ R&D and AI talent training; ▲ mutual exchange of facilities, equipment, and knowledge between the two organizations; and ▲ establish a cooperation system and lay the foundation for mutual development.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate with Samkwang, and through this agreement, we will make further efforts to help students find employment and translate their research and development into real business,” said Dr. Kim Hyun-duk, Director of IACT.

“We have been thinking about revitalizing our research center, and I think we will be able to set a better direction in the future by collaborating with IACT. We look forward to your support,” said Jinwoo Kim, CEO of Samkwang.

The MOU signing was followed by a special lecture by IACT President Kim Hyun-duk. 

The lecture, titled 'Strategies for Manufacturing Companies in the Era of AI', introduced various cases of AI being applied to manufacturing sites in the global industrial environment and discussed strategies that small and medium-sized manufacturing companies should establish to secure future competitiveness.

Samkwang plans to continue various cooperative activities to establish itself as a leading company in AI-based manufacturing innovation and lay the foundation for sustainable growth through this agreement and lecture.
