(April 8, 2025) Samkwang Technology Research Institute visited Sambo Motors' exhibition booth to identify trends in next-generation mobility technology and explore the possibility of cooperation. The visit was guided by Mr. Byungrae Cho, Executive Director of the Central R&D Center, and led to practical discussions for technical cooperation between the two companies.

The employees of Samkwang R&D Center had in-depth inquiries and discussions on the applicability of each of Sambo Motors' technologies and points of cooperation.

The two-seater autonomous AAM (UAM), one of Sambo Motors' key technologies, boasts a maximum weight of 1,050 kg, a flight time of 42 minutes, and a flight range of 100 kilometers, and is equipped with a dual-engine system that uses batteries for takeoff and landing and hydrogen fuel for horizontal flight. The AAM will be demonstrated at Taean Airfield in August, and Samkwang employees will be invited to attend.

In addition, they were introduced to an unmanned drone that can fly for more than three hours, a lidar-based fire detection and security robot system, and a follow-up working meeting will be held to specify the direction of technical cooperation with Samkwang.
