[June 5, 2025 (Thursday)] Samkwang Technology Research Institute held a strategy consultation to strengthen the competitiveness of future new businesses. 


The meeting was attended by Jongdoo Kim of Glboal New Business, Soonbaek Jung, CEO of Global AD, Chunkum Yang, advisor, and employees of the institute, and external experts included Jeonil Moon, CEO of Robocare, and Sihwan Kim, Managing Director of the Korea Consulting Industry Association.


Currently, Samkwang Technology Research Institute is promoting research and development and technology internalization centered on H/W-based element technology, CMF technology, robotics, silver industry, and eco-friendly fields.


At the consulting, strategies for developing robot caddies and drone convergence products were introduced, and specific measures such as joint patents with Colli, ROS-based software development, and hardware cooperation with China were shared. The possibility of collaboration based on the TTNG (Hello Caddy) case was also presented.


In the silver industry, plans to expand AI-tailored medical services based on iris diagnostic devices were discussed, and differentiation strategies were highlighted as a key issue.

In the field of eco-friendly technology, strategic approaches such as establishing a technology roadmap, linking with environmental companies, and participating in government projects were proposed.

In addition, regarding the operation of the research institute, improvements to the workforce structure, securing excellent talent, improving the working environment, and linking with government support projects and VCs were discussed.


Through this meeting, a robot technology cooperation system was established, and Samkwang plans to visit robocare companies for future technology exchanges, and practical follow-up measures such as finding new business collaboration partners, linking with national projects, and introducing an AI-based work innovation system (G-MATRIX) will also be promoted.
