[Thursday, September 18, 2025] Samkwang Co., Ltd. held a new material R&D cooperation meeting with key officials from the Korea Textile Development Institute at its headquarters. 

Attending from the Korea Textile Development Institute were Director Seongman Kim, Division Head Jaehoon Jeong, and Team Leader Minjae Kim. Representing Samkwang were Advisor Chungeum Yang, Global New Business Division Jongdoo Kim, Executive Vice President Jinyoung Choi, and Development Team Managing Director Youngmo Kwon.

Both sides introduced their respective organizations. KTDI explained that major corporations are currently strengthening their ESG management and focusing on enhancing material strength and recyclability.

Samkwang expressed interest in ESG and recycled materials, while also asking about the feasibility of actual cases, such as diversifying material properties through fiber integration within the injection molding process, leading to in-depth discussions. They also showed high interest in the institute's advanced facilities, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.

Following the meeting, a tour of key production sites at Samkwang's headquarters was conducted. Participants observed injection molding, mold making, and assembly processes, gaining firsthand insight into Samkwang's manufacturing capabilities and products.

Moving forward, Samkwang will continue monitoring industry-wide shifts toward material innovation and expanded sustainable management aligned with the ESG era. Through collaboration with specialized institutions like the Korea Textile Development Institute, it will actively explore new business opportunities.
