[Tuesday, November 11, 2025] Samkwang Co., Ltd. executives and employees visited the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) and the Korea Institute for Optical Industry Advancement (KOIA) to hold external cooperation meetings. Attending the meeting were Samkwang Global AD Division  Jeong Sunbaek, Advisor Yang Chungeum, Global Development Center Executive Vice President Jeong Youngjun, and Professionals Kim Jinguk and Woo Jaewook.


At the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement meeting, Planning Director Oh Taek-su and Team Leader Kwon Ryun-il attended.

The meeting included explanations on robot regulation improvements, testing and evaluation, and domestic/international demonstration support cases. Proposals for automation cooperation between Samkwang and SMEs were also discussed.

Following this, participants toured the institute's Manufacturing AX permanent exhibition hall, reviewing various industrial robots and manufacturing digital solutions.


At the meeting with the Korea Optical Industry Promotion Agency, President Kim Jong-han and Division Head Do Ki-tae attended. Discussions centered on Samkwang's company introduction and the project for smart glasses with audiovisual assistance.

Officials from the Korea Optical Industry Promotion Agency shared their opinions on current inconveniences with smart glasses products and directions for technological advancement.


Through these meetings with both institutions, Samkwang confirmed potential collaboration opportunities in manufacturing automation and smart glasses technology, laying the groundwork for discussions on specific future projects.

Samkwang Co., Ltd. plans to continue expanding future technological competitiveness and new business opportunities through ongoing exchanges with relevant institutions and industry stakeholders.
