[Thursday, December 11, 2025] Samkwang Co., Ltd. visited the Korean Physical AI Association meeting and the RoboCare Lab held in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province.

Attendees included CEO Jeong Soon-baek of the Global AD Division, Executive Vice President Choi Jin-young of the Global New Business Division, Advisor Yang Chun-geum of Samkwang, Professional Kim Jin-guk of the Global IT Team, and Professional Woo Jae-wook of the Technology Research Institute.

Samkwang first participated in the Korea Physical AI Association cooperation meeting. 

The meeting involved sharing the current status of the physical AI industry as a whole and discussing a request for cooperation regarding participation in a government project scheduled for 2026. Additionally, it was agreed to arrange a visit to Samkwang's headquarters and a consulting schedule in mid-January 2026. A Q&A session was also held, focusing on Hyundai Motor's FSD (Full Self-Driving) technology in relation to autonomous driving. Through this, Samkwang will review the industrial applicability of autonomous driving and physical AI technologies and continue practical discussions on future project participation and cooperation directions.

Subsequently, Samkwang visited the RoboCare Research Institute for a cooperation meeting. The meeting primarily discussed Samkwang's participation in establishing a mass production system for care robots. This also served as an opportunity to explore joint entry into the silver industry sector.

Through its participation in this cooperation meeting, Samkwang plans to comprehensively assess technological trends and the policy/business environment in the AI field, and concretize potential collaborations linked to future new businesses such as autonomous driving, care robots, and the silver industry.
