Hello! I'm Yuna Yoon, working in the Pre-Production Quality Part of the Global Quality Team. First and foremost, I aspire to become a multi-player within the Quality Team! It's quite an ambitious goal! That's why, to turn my aspirations into reality, I'm currently learning step by step, starting with the very fundamentals of quality! First, I'm learning the quality tasks of inspecting and ensuring the quality of incoming goods by process, as well as the final assembled products. I realized that the quality of products entering Samkwang depends on the inspector's attitude and habits—accurately understanding the incoming goods inspection process and knowing the correct standards. Especially since my main role now is in the headquarters measurement lab, I realized that having a solid foundation in everything from visual inspection to dimensional measurement and reliability testing is essential. Only then can I understand the root causes of issues and improvement activities throughout the entire process, all the way up to pre-development approval at Samkwang. The measurement lab, in particular, felt like a whole other world within the quality team at first. It was quiet, filled only with the hum of machinery... I remember sweating buckets at first, knowing every single dimension point I checked and measured became an inspection standard and could significantly impact mold modifications. (Honestly... I still do...) I'm staying as focused as possible and learning hard to be even a little helpful. And the thing that flustered me the most when I first started the job was none other than the ‘drawings’. Dense lines and incomprehensible geometric tolerances. On top of that, looking at the modeling files, thinking about the measurement equipment's path to measure the geometric tolerance points on the drawing, implementing it, and then writing the program to capture the optimal movement points – it was a strange but thrilling experience. Seeing the moment when the equipment moves precisely to the exact location I programmed and actually measures it, and when that accuracy matches... it sends a tingle through my whole body. Honestly, when I first saw the drawings, they felt like alien language, and I was completely lost. Fortunately, my mentor, Pro Lee Yu-ri, patiently walked me through the basics step by step. She compared the actual product with the modeling file, explaining how the product's shape changes with rotation and angle so I could see and understand it directly. Thanks to her, things are starting to click for me lately! I still panic when I see complex drawings and worry about making mistakes, but I don't want to be an employee who avoids taking initiative just because I'm afraid of getting scolded! Even if I make mistakes, my goal is to become a capable team member who uses those mistakes as fertilizer to grow and develop myself one step further! My little hobby is taking walks with friends. I love meeting up with friends on weekends, dressing casually, and walking around our neighborhood. We walk without any specific plan, just chatting away, and before we know it, we've walked for ages. Later, we're often surprised to realize, “We walked this far today?” But after such a good chat, I feel all my stress melt away, and I really enjoy it. The most memorable moment during my time at Samkwang was probably my first day at work when I introduced myself to the department. Since it was my first job in my life, I was far more nervous than excited. I remember opening the office door to greet everyone, but I was so shaken that my whole body stiffened up, and I walked in like a robot. That memory is still vivid. Thanks to the team members who warmly welcomed me despite my frozen state, I'm now relaxed and enjoying myself. I want to remember that initial feeling of excitement, anticipation, and nervousness, steadily build my capabilities, and become a reliable and enjoyable colleague at Samkwang—someone who excels at their work. I still have moments of clumsiness and many shortcomings, but I will diligently learn and master quality tasks. I cheer myself on to become an indispensable expert for our Quality Team and for Samkwang!! Everyone, please support me so I can succeed! Thank you!
I could live without coffee, but I couldn't live without carbonation! Just imagining eating delicious food like chicken or pizza without that fizzy carbonation makes me tear up. Rather than give up that refreshing tingle that cleanses my palate, I'd choose to enjoy delicious food with carbonation happily for life—even if it means waking up a little less refreshed in the morning!
