[Wise Samkwang Life Episode 70] Introducing Pro Jeonghwan Shin from the Global Quality Team~ Author사내기자 Date2026.02.20 Hit33

Hello!

My name is Jeonghwan Shin, a new member of the Global Quality Team at Samkwang.

Currently, I am observing and learning about the overall production process, as well as studying the issues related to the various products manufactured at Samkwang and the quality inspection procedures. Although there are still many unfamiliar areas and new concepts for me, I have come to realize that the quality of each process directly represents Samkwang’s image. With that in mind, I strive to stay focused and approach my inspections with a serious and responsible attitude.

When I first began working in process quality, the most challenging part was understanding the process conditions and the resulting data accurately, and then thinking ahead about future actions and improvements. It is not just about observing visible phenomena, but constantly asking myself, “Why did this result occur?” At first, this was quite confusing.

So, I asked my senior colleagues everything I was curious about — “Why?”, “Due to what?”, “What is the root cause?”, and “Are there other possible outcomes?” At one point, I even felt like I had become a “question machine.”

However, I was truly grateful that they patiently explained everything step by step until I fully understood.

Although I still have much to learn, I make it a point to ask questions right away whenever I do not know something. By listening to my seniors’ answers, taking notes, and learning from their seasoned expertise, I am gradually building my own knowledge and experience — blending their wisdom with my own youthful creativity.

One of my small hobbies is playing futsal and watching soccer matches.

On weekends or whenever I have time, I enjoy playing futsal with friends and staying active, or watching soccer games and cheering for my favorite teams. Chasing the ball and working up a sweat, or immersing myself in a match, naturally relieves stress and leaves me feeling refreshed and ready to focus on daily life again. I believe it is a truly great hobby.

The most memorable moment at Samkwang was, of course, my first day at work.

Since it marked the beginning of my professional career, I felt far more nervous than excited. Even saying a simple greeting felt awkward at the time. Nevertheless, thanks to my team members who made me feel welcome and comfortable, I was able to adapt more quickly than I had expected.

Although I am still a newcomer with much to learn, I hope to steadily build my expertise in quality management. Someday, when I have a junior colleague of my own, I aspire to become a professional senior who can generously share knowledge just as my seniors have done for me.

I will continue to grow step by step without rushing, gaining experience and becoming an indispensable member of the Quality Team.

Going Out on a Snowy Day!

On rainy days, I tend to worry more about my clothes and shoes, but on snowy days, even if it is a bit inconvenient, the atmosphere makes it feel worthwhile to go outside.

I enjoy seeing the quiet streets and the white, snow-covered scenery. It feels like a different kind of day from usual.

It may be slippery… but even that becomes part of the memory — a day when I can say, “Ah, it was a snowy day,” and remember it fondly.
