[Wednesday, March 11, 2026] Key Samsung executives and technical group leaders visited Samkwang’s Vietnam business unit.

The visit was organized to review the level of automation and current operational status of the production processes and to discuss future directions for cooperation.

Attendees included Samsung Headquarters’ Executive Vice President Lee Byung-kook, Senior Vice President Hong Yeon-seok (Head of Manufacturing Technology Team), and six other group leaders, as well as Vietnam subsidiary Executive Vice President Kim Yi-su (Managing Director), Executive Vice President Park Tae-sang (Manufacturing), and five other group leaders. Representing Samkwang’s Vietnam Business Division were Business Division Head Song Jong-deuk, Senior Vice President Han Dong-kwon, and the heads of each production process team. 

During the status report, presentations were given on the current status of injection molding process automation, automation implementation results, the status of automation operations personnel, and in-house manufacturing capabilities. Following this, the group toured the actual production lines to jointly review process operations and the operational status of the automation equipment.

During the line tour, participants had the opportunity to directly observe the operation of automated equipment and the production environment, and to share on-site feedback. While touring key processes, attendees inspected equipment operation and process conditions, confirming that overall process operations and equipment management were being conducted stably. 

In particular, the company was evaluated as having secured efficiency and stability in process automation and as being competitive in equipment and line operations. Furthermore, it was found that production infrastructure and work environment management are also being carried out systematically.

Samkwang’s Vietnam Business Division plans to continue expanding its cooperation with global clients by strengthening production process competitiveness and stabilizing quality.
