[Wednesday, May 27, 2026] Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. CEO Roh Tae-moon visited Samkwang Co., Ltd.’s Vietnam Business Division to hold a meeting on the status of automation and tour key production lines. This visit was part of a schedule to inspect the manufacturing sites of leading automation companies among Samsung Electronics’ Tier 1 suppliers. In addition to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. CEO Roh Tae-moon, eight vice presidents and seven senior vice presidents attended the visit. Representing Samkwang Co., Ltd. were CEO Kim Jin-woo, Global MD Division Kim Cheol-soo, Vietnam Business Division Executive Vice President Song Jong-deuk, and Senior Vice President Han Dong-kwon. Following a meeting on Samkwang’s global status and the automation progress of its Vietnam Business Division, the attendees toured the assembly, injection molding, and painting lines in Building A, followed by the assembly line in Building C. Noh Tae-moon, CEO of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., highly praised Samkwang’s level of automation and expressed confidence in the company’s transition toward AX. Kim Jin-woo, CEO of Samkwang Co., Ltd., stated, “Samkwang plans to further strengthen its in-house automation equipment manufacturing capabilities and horizontally deploy them across key production processes to enhance manufacturing competitiveness.” He added, “We will also continue to pursue work process improvements and manufacturing automation utilizing AI to simultaneously boost production efficiency and quality competitiveness.” Through this visit, Samkwang Co., Ltd. shared the automation capabilities of its Vietnam division and the direction of its transition to AX. The company plans to continue strengthening its in-house automation equipment manufacturing capabilities and AI-based manufacturing innovation to enhance its global manufacturing competitiveness.
