[Thursday, May 28, 2026] Samkwang Co., Ltd.’s India Division conducted a preliminary on-site inspection and document review support as part of the supplier registration review process for Volkswagen.

During the visit, Amit Patil, an auditor from Volkswagen, reviewed the manufacturing site and working environment. From Samkwang India Division, local managers from each manufacturing team, expatriate staff, and other relevant personnel attended the inspection.

The site tour began with the mold process and continued through injection molding, MCT, reliability testing, assembly, purchasing, finished goods warehouse, and painting processes. Participants reviewed the working environment, equipment operating conditions, and product management flow for each process.

Representatives from Samkwang India Division explained the operational methods and key control points at each site, presenting the company’s manufacturing system and quality management standards.

After the site tour, auditor Amit Patil commented, “The overall working environment of the factory appears to be in good condition.” He added, “As this visit marks the first step toward cooperation between the two companies, communication will be the most important factor moving forward.”

He further noted, “If both sides continue to communicate based on a clear understanding of each process, future collaboration is expected to move in a positive direction.”

Samkwang India Division plans to continue enhancing its process management capabilities and strengthening its manufacturing competitiveness in order to respond quickly and accurately to the requirements of global customers.
