[October 29, 2026 (Thursday)] SAMKWANG Co., Ltd. conducted safety and health training for supervisors at its in-house training facility to strengthen workplace safety management capabilities and prevent industrial accidents at its manufacturing sites. The training was conducted as part of the mandatory periodic safety and health education required under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. It was designed to enhance supervisors' safety and health management capabilities and proactively prevent industrial accidents that may occur in the workplace. Under Article 29 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Article 26 of its Enforcement Rules, employers are required to provide regular safety and health training to employees. As a general rule, supervisors are required to complete at least 16 hours of training annually. Supervisors play a vital role in preventing industrial accidents by directly managing and supervising workers on-site, identifying potential hazards and risk factors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures. The eight-hour training program covered key topics such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), risk assessment methods and hands-on exercises, the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and industrial accident prevention policies, and emergency response procedures for fires and explosions. In particular, the risk assessment session provided participants with practical experience in identifying potential hazards at manufacturing sites and evaluating associated risks, further strengthening their ability to implement effective safety management practices in daily operations. One employee who attended the training shared their thoughts, saying, "This training reminded me of the important role supervisors play and the significance of workplace safety management. The hands-on risk assessment exercises were especially valuable and will be helpful in my daily work. Moving forward, I will make every effort to create a safer working environment by carefully identifying and addressing even the smallest potential hazards." SAMKWANG Co., Ltd. will continue to enhance employees' safety awareness through ongoing safety and health training while strengthening its efforts to prevent industrial accidents and foster a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
